Save right before entering that final room (F5 for quick save) incase it hits.
There are 2 different methods to work around this - the first being easiest.
This method requires a mage with fireball - you can knock them into position and it won't kill nor annoy them.
Method 2 is a pain but may be necessary if nobody has a fireball for the knockback AoE effect (you can't target them so other methods don't work - you need an AoE).
Adjust the resolution temporarily via options to 1024x768 and try that - you may need to reload a few times (F9 for fast load of last save) if it glitches.
Once they get in position, you can adjust the resolution back to continue the fight.
Sorry. It took me like 4 or 5 tries at lower resoultion to get it to work.
If you have someone who can cast a fireball, that always works. Blast them to the circle right behind them - that's where they need to be. Once they are on that circle spot the script starts up again.
Those are the only solutions I know for this glitch and are the same solutions which were suggested by EA Support officially.
