Armor set for Arcane Warrior
Which armor set is better for the Arcane Warrior?

so far, I've been using the Planewalker set, but the Warden Commander set is quite appealing too...

I personally prefer Wade's Superior Dragonskin armor set. It is not a heavy armor with high armor rate, but it's stats are otherwise very good ones for Arcane Warrior. It depends what type of build you do.

I fancied this for both melee oriented and defensive caster, becasue it has a reduced fatigue and mana/stamina regeneration.

  • Armor 15.01
  • Fatigue 12.68%
  • +70% fire resistance
  • +2/+4 stamina regeneration in combat
  • +25 stamina
  • Set: -25% fatigue
  • Set: +5 defense

sounds good! on this playthrough I specced as high dex/CC frontline melee, with a huge mana pool to cast the occasional AoE.
IMHO it's even more OP than my previous full melee tank, which already was ridiculously broken

i usally use the blood dragon plae if im doing an arcane warrior

if you have blood magic i would HIGHLY suggjest using juggernaut. the magic resistance is a very, very useful feature. on the other hand if you are a spirit healer any set with + max mana is essentially necessary.

yup in this run I am going for spirit healer. It would be pointless to use blood magic with such a small HP pool to draw from :)

Medium.

Works well for Spirit healers and mages using a lot of magic on front. Full tanks without warrior to accompany them may wish to use some other item set. I tanked several mobs with Alistair in spirit healer/arcane warrior build with this set.

is there anything in the game other than trinkets or gear that can be used to reduce fatigue?

There is one more item to consider. One of the most valuable robes in the game suits very well for arcane warriors, if they are not directly tanking. You would loose the benefit of item set bonus, of course. However, you could also use any boots and gloves with the robe.

I am thinking of making another playthrough in DA:O soon. This robe feels like a potential chest piece for spirit healer/arcane warrior. Of course it costs a lot, so player is unlikely to get it before late midgame.

Reaper's Vestments
  • +6 constitution
  • +20% fire resistance
  • +16% spell resistance
  • +10% chance to dodge attacks
  • +12 armor

Not really.

I personally prefer the next heavier version:
Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale armor set with the chestpiece replaced with Evon the Great's Mail
This combo loses 50% Fire Resistance and +25 Stamina, but gains +1/+2 Health Regen, +6 Armor (makes it even par with the Massive Armor Set), +10% to Dodge, & +10 to DEF vs. Missiles.
A well-round armor for a tank or two-hander to the end of the game.

my first playthrough i used juggs armor set(sorry juggernaught, and forgive my spelling) and packed on physical resistance, worked out really well until i hit late game, i think i can make it even more tanky now that i understand the game better.
so my second playthrough im thinking wynne with juggs and phys resist with loads of self healing and regen and find a way to ignore stun and knockdown effects. at least this is the plan, which will undoubtably fall apart as i advance through the game :)
