Camera controls
I really like this game (at Redcliffe right now) but the camera and minimap put me off playing as they are wildly disorienting for me.

Tactical view: When I give a command (right click), the view rotates a bit if I'm not super carefully. Can i unbind the right mouse button from that action?

Third person: Is there a way to make the camera follow the character's left and right turns?

Is there a way to have the minimap show the view direction of the character instead of mine?

I don't need replies like "but it works for me", "it just takes getting used to" or "you suck git gud". I'm on the brink of abandoning this game. Any help is very appreciated though :)

3rd person: It's best to move with wasd keys and rotate your view by right click your mouse and drag. I always found the 3rd person controls on pc to be very good and smooth.

Tactical view: Sadly this is quite bad and only useful in some specific situations. Don't think you can stop the view from rotating.

I don't understand the minimap question.

Third person: Not sure what you mean but by default the "movecamera" options are bound to A and D and if you press either of them while your character is moving foward then the camera and character will keep moving in that direction. Not perfect but that is the only way i see it working like that.

Tactical view: I imagine your problem is due to the fact that mouse look is also bound to right click in this game. There's no way to change that in-game or using the ini files, and i don't think there is a mod for that. The only way i see this working is by using something like Autohotkey as suggested in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/47810/discussions/0/364039785162063106/#c364040166691335223. Granted, i never used this myself so i can't help with that but it's maybe worth a try.

Minimap: I see what you mean but as far as i know there's no way to change that in this game as well. You could try searching for a mod that does this, but i also don't know if there even is one.

Thank you for your replies!

I will try the 3rd person mode as Jquist47 described it. @Jc_Soares: I meant that you always see the back of the character and when you turn, it strictly follows.

Thank you for digging out the other thread with the autohotkey, I didn't find that one. I will try it out!
