What gear can i import into other dlc.
Hello i am soon done with origins and i want import the best gear i can into awakening that means both myself and companions.Same question applies too golems of amarak and Witch hunt. But what i can gather from is golems is the hardest of them all.I don't want to use mods i mod games all the time but this time i am not willing to risk breaking my save file after 100 hours of game time.

Starfang - whether the 1-hand or 2-hand version will not make it into Awakenings, plus there are a few other significant items, some of which are acquired in the DLCs "Soldier's Peak" and "Return to Ostagar" that disappear as well. But don't worry. There are a lot of high-powered items to be had in Awakenings. After you've played Awakening for a few hours you won't mind missing some of your old stand-bys from Origins.

Warning: do some research in these forums before you go into the Silverite Mine.

It's mostly the dlc and promo items that don't import to Awakening, but some will automatically be replaced with a stronger version suitable for Awakening's high level campaign. Anything you have in Awakening will carry over into Golems and Witch Hunt.

Equipped items that cannot be imported to Awakening may become invisibly "stuck" on your character, providing their normal benefits and drawbacks, including fatigue. To be safe you can unequip at least your armor at the last second before the game ends.

You will also need to unequip your companions if you want to bring their items along.

Cannot be stressed enough. Some DLC-items cause a serious bug.

Unequip the Magister's Staff before the import save is made. There's a bug where it doesn't work properly in Awakening if imported while equipped.
This BAT file will alter files to allow DLC equipment to be imported into Awakening (but not Golems of Amgarrak or Witch Hunt).

You'll also want the Vigilance/Starfang Graphics Fix from here.
