Bleh, I've done it now anyway. There's only one more fade section to go in Redcliffe when the mage offers to go in and defeat the demon, and if I remember right it only lasts 5 minutes.
(no where near as bad or long as that maze which I think was their only oppsie great doing 1st time good 2nd time (least to see different party reactions)....3 tolerable just skip most stats... 4+ omg shoot me stupid maze and your dumb tiny stats)
O ya and there is some mods that make the fade funner or least the interactions
A giant muti-part maze where you need to switch between four forms to navigate your way though? I'm happy. Though it also likely helps I was playing a mage with a lot of ice spells which most of the things to be found there are very weak to
Though I can easily see why people don't like the deep roads part of the game. That got tedious very quickly.
I always enjoy talking to demons in this game, so I enjoyed those parts of the fade. I also really liked showing my 3 party members that they were in a dream, not reality. That was fun. Especially Sten. He's so immune to bullschit that not even demons who can fool everybody can fool him.
But these parts are barely 2% of all of your time in the fade. The other 98% just makes me want to quit the game.
I always liked the deep roads though. I've been reading threads about what people hate in DA:O and I wasn't surprised to see so many people say they hate the fade, but I was amazed so many people hate the deep roads. It concluded with one of the weirdest, creepiest creatures and storylines in any game I've ever played.
Better than any story line segments in DAI
You're welcome.
Don't install the mod until right before you go into the room with the demon that puts you into the fade, and uninstall the mod right before you fight the demon in the fade.
Also don't start any of the DLC missions before going into the fade with this mod, it can break them, but if you don't begin any of them first it won't break them.
So basically go right to the circle of mages when you leave Lothering, get to the room with the fade demon, save and quit, install mod, load game and go into the fade, save the game in the final demon-fight room of the fade, quit, uninstall mod, continue game as normal.
It possible a few do, but that may because of mod conflicts or just horrible luck. (assuming it not a very recent added bug or something as I am talking of back a little ways).
I did have a problem with the skip fade mod breaking my Warden's Keep DLC. It definitely was the skip fade mod because it's literally the only mod I use.
I accepted the quest from Levi Dryden to go liberate the Warden's Keep with him, but I didn't go yet. Instead I went to the mage circle and did that whole story (installing and then uninstalling the skip fade mod in the process). I could no longer travel to Warden's Keep. I had to disable and re-enable the DLC.
It was no big deal, I fixed it easily, but it did break it.
I dont own xbox so If you could answer a ??. Do you have the same access to mods as the PC users? And if so/ or not where do ou get them, from xbox store? can you use Nexus?
(its why he said he was on xbox and therefore couldnt get mods >_> lol )
