This game is harder than dark souls on Normal difficulty

This is ridiculous, I have been stuck on the nigh battle at redcliffe for ove 10 hours now over the span of 3 days. I am using everything at my disposal, which isn't much cause it is like the beginning of the game. I mean what the actual ♥♥♥♥ is this dumb ass game. Would have had it my second try but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game crashed right as I was about to beat it, I was able to keep almost all the militia men alive during that try and there were like 3 guys left but I haven't been able to do that since and every time they get wiped out almost instantly. And yes I am pausing and using every one of the characters abilities as much as I can. This just simply doesn't seem possible at this point... Considering just deleting the game and giving up at this point cause there is no reason a game should be this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. This fight is literally harder than all dark souls bosses combines cause none of those boss fights ever took nearly as much time as this is. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous really...

Edit: alright ♥♥♥♥ this, I’m restarting, after looking up more info apparently redcliffe should be done a little bit later in the game, which is dumb because Alistair literally recommends redcliffe first so what the ♥♥♥♥ game... anyways what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ infuriating thing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Not really. You only NEED a healer if your stats are under 100 AND you are playing on the higher difficulty settings. Once your stats are all higher than 100 using item duplication on stat tomes or the fade essence font exploit, you can solo every non-scripted encounter on any difficulty giggling manically along the way.

It's literally The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion with better voice acting and pause available during combat, bruh.

Way too many architectural problems to enjoy the game the way some rich nerds in Canada want you to, you might as well have fun with it. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Having the same issue- bolstered everything- zombies are literally endless in the second encounter of the battle

I would also add that the archer that asks me to help doesnt come down to the encounter so I wonder if him not joining us in the fighting area is throwing some scripted event

The archer is just a fluff NPC and not important to the scripting of the event.

Try wandering out to the spawn points and killing the zombies that are stuck.

Saving before the second round, exiting the game, and restarting from the save sometimes makes things work as well.

BioWare made some seriously questionable architectural decisions for Origins and the problems with this battle are one of the results.

With just a tinge less tongue in my cheek I will say this though; you are free to play however you wish, my point was simply that using exploits in order to turn on God mode makes advice or examples based on such meaningless.

LoL the battle of Redcliff outside the castle was easy as hell at lvl 7~8 AI used like 2 potions and didn't even need a healing spells

i only had to retry it because on the first fight the knights would run into the fire so i couldn't identify who the ♥♥♥♥ died and on the second part Murdock was apparently feeling horny and really wanted to meet lady death
