Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Where can I get healing item's if I run out, and dont find them on enemies I loot?
Iv'e also noticed this game seems more challenging than the last dragon age game.

Make sure that at least one of your group has the Herbalism Skill which will enable them to combine Elfroots & Flasks to make Lesser healing potions (*). Higher skill in Herbalism will allow you to craft more powerful healing potions but you'll need other components.

Morrigan starts with at least one Skill level of Herbalism (as does Wynne, I believe). You can purchase Elfroots from merchants but you'll also find them growing nearly everywhere. Flasks are only available from merchants but they're very inexpensive. The Quartermaster at Ostagar has them so stock up before you leave. Also the Dwarven merchant at your camp has an unlimited supply. Note too that mages can use a minor healing spell regardless of their Specialization.

(*) for some reason potions are called "poultices" in this game. A poultice, by any definition known to me, is a sort of paste typically applied to open wounds or bruises but when one of your characters uses a "poultice" the accompanying animation shows them drinking it. Strange, but there it is.

Thank you, this helped a lot. I probably would of struggled a lot more if I didn't know this.
It's important that you don't lean on health poultices for too long. A mage with at least a Heal spell helps a lot. A well-defending warrior Taunting enemies away from other party members helps minimize damage a lot.

The Lesser Health Poultices are sufficient in the early game, but they quickly become obsolete and simply not powerful enough to help your warriors and rogues. You can buy/make the lesser ones cheaply enough, but the more potent ones can eat up a big chunk of money if you aren't careful. However, mages should never need better than a Lesser Health Poultice- the bonus they get from high Magic scores usually means they will get nearly full heal from the lesser poultices throughout the game.
