I can’t leave camp!

So, when I leave a location alistair and my character immediately have a dream where I discover that the arch demon is aware of me. Then, we end up in camp and none of the army embassidors are there and morrigan is now next to the fire. When I try to leave, the world icon button doesn’t work. I’m just stuck.

I figured out a work around, but now there’s no dream sequence! Any words of advice?

Was there an attack? There's supposed to be Darkspawn in the camp after that specific dream scene, because the Archdemon is aware of you and it sent some of it's troops to your camp to attack you. You describe it like there's only the dream scene and no subsequent attack. A bug I assume. And the workaround, what does it require? Skipping conversations, quicksave-quickload? Stuff like that? Do you have any save before it? You are supposed to be attacked and defend the camp, that's the purpose of the dream scene.

The work around is when I leave a location, I go straight to camp, then I go to the next location. This causes me to skip the dream sequence.

Strange, the dream sequence should eventually play automatically, when you enter the camp, which means it SHOULDN'T ever be skippable. That's really odd stuff. A bug definitely, I have no other explanation. Do you still have a save file before skipping the dream scene? Meaning a save without the workaround. Try to trigger the scene and when it ends, try to move a little bit around the camp, it may just fail to load the script. I'm no expert, so can't give you any better advice, on how to trigger the correct script, but I guess there's some way to do it, console commands maybe? Try to look them up on the internet. It is a really really weird behavior. I have absolutely zero experience with that. For me, the scene played correctly and then they attacked us, as it should be. No idea, what could cause such weird stuff.

Then it sounds like one of the mods screwed something up. What you describe isn't normally supposed to happen, because the camp is SUPPOSED to eventually get attacked, and the attack is ALWAYS preceded by one of the dreams.

Morrigan being suddenly next to the fire after the dream scene, could be a good hint at that. I don't use mods in DA:O, so couldn't guess before. But it makes sense now, knowing more info about it.
