Darkspawn Chronicles.. Getting annoyed now
3 hours I have been restarting the final battle on easy.
I'm not playing for a challenge. I just want to run through it all on easy because I've not played in ages, but this is stupid.
Trying to takeout everyone else first ? no, because Alistair kills the dragon before I get to him
Managed once to kill Alistair before the dragon died, but is was all of 3 seconds left to get the rest of them.
Tried watching youtube incase there was a trick to it, but nope, I am not doing anything wrong.

For anyone else who gets that.. It was a bug. Restarted game, killed Alistair first again, yet this time, it worked...

Another issue with achievements. I had the ogre the whole way through. I know he lived because I was using him on the final blow, yet it did not unlock..

When fighting Alistair and his team it is recommended to focus down Morrigan first as she is the mage and has naturally higher dps with less hp. Knocking her out of the fight early is what I have always focused on followed by Leliana as she is relatively squishy as well not as much as a mage but easier to down that a warrior focused on con and heavy armour. Then all you need to do is focus on Alistair and the Dog but being warriors they are far more suited for absorbing damage than dealing it out than the other classes.

You will also need to switch to your mage regularly if you are not running through as him full time to heal the Arch Demon who I believe starts the fight at half health due to its prier nose dive out of the sky.

As for the Ogre achievement I have it myself along with the other achievements for that dlc. It can be quite the pain as you need to keep the 'first' Ogre you meet alive until the end and it has to be the same one you finish the final fight with. You become separated partway through and can go around and free the Ogre. However before you enter the area check your Ogre's affection value and enter. When you save the Ogre you will see that there are actually two. You will have to make sure after you have re-recruited the Ogre that it has x affection towards you instead of the base value. Base value means you have recruited the other Ogre and not the one you initially came with.

The difficulty is a joke. Golems of whatever... The green room. Collected the chests that were green, now I cannot exit the area without taking on all the golems, which kill my entire team in 10 - 15 seconds, even with me as a healer.

Same problem with the boss. I can heal once and group heal once, after that, everyone is dead before cooldown is ready. (reloaded to before and just went red)

Gone back to green room. Even keeping them all focused on 1 Golem, they cannot do it, they cannot kill a single enemy without getting wiped out.... In Easy!!

I don't get this problem in the main story because I can customise them to how I want to play. The DLC characters are all premade and only make a couple of levels.

Ran it with a tank knowing that without a healer we would die. Yup.. 1st hard enemy wiped us out.. I do fine. The party, even if I use the book to respec someone, dies in 1 - 2 hits from almost anything on easy..

I don't remember specifically, but I'm pretty sure there is a way to open the room once the battle starts. So you don't fight the golems in that little room, you open it up and run out. The Bronto pet can buy you time by taunting the golems while the rest of your party runs. It's okay to sacrifice the pet; your companion can re-summon an endless supply of them. If you run far enough away, eventually some of the golems drop out of chasing you. That allows you to break them up to only fight one or two at a time.

uhm try to kill only one golem than change phase, heal and repeat, use the respec book on the thief and make him an archer, this will made the last boss battle easy

In Awakening. There is a man by the name of "Herren" in Vigil's Keep. He sells books that allow you to re-spec Awakening characters. If one were to say have a few of them sitting in the inventory at the end of Awakening (on the character you load into Golems.) One might be able to re-spec a dwarf or two.

Did you get the orge achievement? I got same problem.
In the palace, there were two orges, one is the original orge but blocked by the south door, first time I recruited this one and make sure it lives, didn't get the achievement; the other one is beside the door need smashed, I recruited it second time, still the same.

I already told him how to do it. I have the achievement so I know it works. But if for whatever reason you are still unable to get it I know there's an old video on YouTube that can walk you through it.

I'm pretty sure I recruited the original orge, but the achievement is locked so hard.
