Is Leliana missable?
So I'm playing DA:O and I've been to Lothering, even in the Chantry, doing some quests (mostly for the board outside) and I didn't met her in there. I'm not saying, that she wasn't there at all, I've just completely ignored her at that time. Later I've read on the wiki, that this is the place you meet her for the first time. But now the village is gone, destroied by the Blight and I can't go back. Is she gone forever, or did she relocate somewhere and I still have a chance to encounter her? I know, that she must have survived, since she appears in later games (DA2, Inquisition), so they didn't get her, but is she in this game somewhere after the village was taken over by the Darkspawn, or did she simply "flee and hide", making her character unreachable?
I don't want to restart the game just because I might have missed on one companion (or maybe two, as Shale also doesn't seem to be, where the wiki claims, well some events change the world).

Unfortunately yes, you missed Leliana. Story-wise she survives ( since she appears in the other games as you said ) . You won't be able to recruit her in origins if you didnt in Lothering . There was also another companion in Lothering, Sten ( the qunari in the cage).
In general there is no reason to not recruit every companion the moment he/she is available.

I have Sten in my party, the cage outside was pretty hard to miss, but I didn't really meet, all the people in the Chantry, I spoke to the Revered Mother about Sten, and to the Templar Knight seeking the Urn of Andrante, or what's her name and one more guy, the Templar commander, I think. That's unfortunate.
Ok, well, maybe on a second playthrough I might be more careful, more perceptive. Serves me well. But I haven't done my first yet, so the Maker knows, when a second one comes.
As for other companions, I have Alistair (hard to miss that one), Morrigan, Dog (Human noble origin), Sten, Wynne and Zevran so far. Can't find Shale as mentioned and probably missing the dwarf (Oghden is it?). As my character said to Alistair, well she didn't, but the option was there: "I'm quite a collector". XD
Anyway thank you for the info.

Leliana wasn't in the Chantry building by the way. She meets you in the inn/tavern.

As for the rest companions : to unlock shale you need to encounter a merchant that will give you a rod and reveal the location of Shale on your map ( I assume you have the Shale DLC ). For Oghden just keep playing he is impossible to be missed.

Also for what its worth , misisng Leliana will not affect Inquisition ( if you plan to play it) because you edit your own world states manually with every choice in the previous 2 games. Simply choose that you have recruited Leliana in Origins for some extra dialogues. You can check out her story and quest in the wiki to "catch up"

I think the Ultimate Edition contains all DLCs, but honestly I didn't do any research on it in fact. I am logged in in the game, so downloading content shouldn't be a problem, so long as it's free, which I assume it is in the UE anyway (it usually is in such editions). At least I've noticed Awakening, during the start of the game (not chosem, but saw the option being there) and Witch Hunt I think was in the "Other campaign" menu. I have yet to discover all that stuff, I'm a newcomer to the Dragon Age series, so one thing at a time. First the main campaign, then DLC stories (if not already part of the main story) and stuff like that.
Thanks again for all your help.

Yes it does inlcude them. No worries then you just need to begin her quest to unlock the village location.

As for the DLC here is what you need to know : Stone prisoner, Warden Keep and Return to Ostagar happen during the main campaign. You can choose when. Personally I do shale and warden keep ASAP ( warden keep gives a storage chest! ) and save return to ostagar for near the end of the game. Entirely up to you.

Awakening is post game with an import so obviously this will be done later.

Leliana's song happens before the main game . Mostly there for Leliana backround.

Darkspawn chronicles is a "what if" scenario. Prefferebly do it after main game for the fun of it .

Golems DLC happens after Awakening I THINK . Honestly not important at all. Just play it for the content.

Witch hunt should be the last thing you ever do and beware of heavy spoilers , dont look for information about it.

And welcome to the series!

I've already been through Return to Ostagar, the most sad moments where your character remembers their fallen king and the death of their mentor, I personally love and hate these kind of stories, love them for the intensity of emotions they bring and hate them for the exact same thing actually. XD
I've also spoken to the guy in the party camp, who sent me on the quest for the Keep, but haven't decided to go there yet, well, might reconsider now, that chest would be very very needed, having full inventory all the time is almost maddening. I realize that there's shopkeepers, but I'm quite a hoarder and mostly going like: "what if this stuff is needed later?", so I'm selling the bare minimum of things, poor me. XD

Yep the struggle of the hoarder XD Some stuff do come up as quest requirements like toxin extracts and some gems. You also give various items to the factions you recruit to strengthen their armies ( the mages you already picked want runes for example)

The chest is a life saver.

Joker! I've been trying to reach you!
If you missed Leliana, and you aren't playing a Rogue, that leaves you without a Rogue until you meet Zevran. Zevran is not available until you complete one of the four main questlines.

There are a few areas, like Lothering, that become unavailable after you leave. Most areas remain. If you are like me and can't stand the thought of leaving loot behind, you can always go back later for missed chests that you could not unlock.

The first couple of times I played, I thought that the growing Blight on the world map would swallow up more areas like it swallowed up Lothering. But that doesn't happen.

I'm playing rouge and got Zevran as well, so my party mostly consist of either two rogues (PC and Zevran), one fighter (Alistair) and one mage (Morrigan), or two mages (Morrigan, Wynne), one rogue (ME) and one fighter (Alistair, obviously), I hardly change my party to the other guys, my dog is "guarding" the camp and Sten is grumpy, he rarely ever approves anything, leaving him behind with the dog is fine in my book. XD I don't mean I dislike him (although I may actually), but he certainly isn't for the type of person I'm playing - the usual soft hearted hero, showing mercy sometimes (although Morrigan can also be pain in the back parts, but she gets better as we progress and as a mage is quite useful). XD
