Father Kolgrim
Why can't we recruit him for our army? Just the Reavers would be worth it and if Andraste the High Dragon showed up...it'd be an awesome bit of fight with the Arch Demon. Do you think the AD could survive a fight with it after Riordan hurt it? But that's far too convenient, innit?

Also, does DA:I even make sense to happen if you sided with Kolgrim(awesome character that one)? I don't think it actually does...

The high dragon is basically an animal. Intelligent, but an animal. Her goal is to feed and reproduce, so why bother with the darkspawn? And the reavers are her servants, they don't abandon her side.

It just seems like such a missed opportunity.

It wouldn't make sense though. It's just a wild dragon followed by a bunch of batsh1t crazy loonies.

Crazy? Doubtful.

Don't forget that the Chantry too is often viewed as equally crazy(and it perhaps is even more so -> You don't see Reavers going on Crusades, do you). They just have their own faith.

And I doubt that...20(?) Reavers would be amiss. I mean, if Werewolves can send 20 of their own number...

Well, you could only call on certain numbers of allies for game balance, but I am sure that much more were recruited, considering that you were building an army.
Besides, the cultists were secretive and small in number, so they would have preferred to stay in isolation.
