Should I go Denerim now or later?
I just got through the battle in Redcliffe and had a conversation with Alistair and he mentioned wanting to see someone there, should I go there now, cause there are Blackstone quests for there as well? Or do I end up going there through the storyline anyway?

I have not gone to the Dalish, Dwarves, or the Magi at all yet (cause I want to go in a pattern with it)

You can go to Danerim at any time.
There are a number of progressively harder side quests.
And you need to go there to restock and get info

In fact you will be hopping in and out of the "Big D" all of the time

And then you can go of and do the three main quests in any order (depending on your needs and Char type and what level your at you may choose one as a better one to do first)

Hope this helps

Go to Denerim as soon as you can, you can pick up some quests (along fetch quests that are easy) and random encounters. Also, you'll get access to some good shops for companion items. Esp the mage shop in market.

The 'best' or 'easiest' way to do the game is:

Origin
Ostagar
Lothering

Redcliff Village (until you get asked to go to the castle via secret way - stop there)
Circle Tower (You need mages to do Redcliff castle best)
Redcliff Castle
DLC areas - Return to Ostagar, Warden Keep, Shale
Brecillian Forest
Orzammar
Haven - Sacred Urn

Endgame

Though I sometimes do Orzammar after Circle to get the 'last companion', but do take note that Orzammar is quite hard, esp the boss battles.

You can go to Denerim at any time you wish before the landsmeet. There are a plethora of quests to do there and you'll unlock even more as you progress in the other three main areas or you'll unlock quests you'll get in those three areas from Denerim. Don't stress too much, you'll end up back tracking for quests no matter where you go. :)

Oh, but yes, as mentioned above, I'd advise you visit and get all the quests as there's some fetch quests lol Visit the mages collective, the gnarled tavern bartender and a few others such as at Lake Calendhad Docks and upon the docks at Radcliffe town. There's just plenty and really just enjoy your time exploring. Its alpt more fun so I've tried to keep my comments spoiler free. I hope you have fun on this fantastic game.

Okay then, I was just about to start storming the castle and then go Denerim, but I'll go to the Tower before I do.

My original plan was to do Redcliffe, Circle Tower, Brecillian Forest, Orzammar, I wasn't sure how to work in the DLC places so, thank you for that!

I've had honestly lots of fun just running around Lothering and such doing small quests, so backtracking isn't much an issue to me.

Add me, I have something to tell you about a large part of the tower/redcliffe and dont want to post spoilers
