Cheat Engine DA:I Question

I can not for the life of me figure out why the stats wont stay after I change them. Map transition, loads, they all revert back to base game stats. I just wanted to up my main attributes a little. I can change the skill points, as well as the XP, and they're not changing. Anyone out there help a guy out??
