Launcher not working
I go to play on the launcher before it would load then crash. I fixed that part now when I click play on the launcher wait 3 to 10 seconds and the launcher would close is there anyone else having this problem and is there a way to fix it or would be easier if I get the ps3 version of this game.

Hi totalgamenut9, this is ZDuke17, and I will try my best to help. We will try three fixes, if these do not work, please inform so we can try other options. I also would like to know what you did as a fix mentioned in your discussion starter: "I go to play on the launcher before it would load then crash. I fixed that part". If you do not wish to do any of these mentioned fixes, feel free to explore other options such as getting console version or switching to the Origin's Platform for the game.

LAA Patch for Dragon Age: Origins: The game uses a low amount of RAM/Memory by default, this patch gives the game the ability to use more RAM/Memory compared to default. This will result in improved overall stability for the game. Recommend installing the pre-patched exe, but if you want to do it yourself, you sure can.

Set affinity for Dragon Age: Origins to 1: The game was desigined to use lower count core cpus compared to modern day cpus. This fix will allow the game to only use 1 core, which will allow the game to run as intended, while fixing various upon various in-game issues. Skim the guide to the section labelled "Frequent Crashes" and follow the instructions.

Run the game in Compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). The game has a variety of issues running on modern Windows operating systems, 7 and up. Running the game in Compatibility mode will help ensure better stability, along with the LAA Patch, and the Affinity fix. To run the game in Compatibility mode, go to your games install/binship folder, right click "DAOrigins.exe" or "DAOrigins", and click the option in the pop-up menu "Properties". In the "DAOrigins.exe Properties" window, click the tab labeled "Compatibility", click the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", and select "Window XP (Service Pack 3)" in the drop down box under "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".
