LAA Patch for Dragon Age: Origins: The game uses a low amount of RAM/Memory by default, this patch gives the game the ability to use more RAM/Memory compared to default. This will result in improved overall stability for the game. Recommend installing the pre-patched exe, but if you want to do it yourself, you sure can.

Run the game in Compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). The game has a variety of issues running on modern Windows operating systems, 7 and up. Running the game in Compatibility mode will help ensure better stability, along with the LAA Patch, and the Affinity fix. To run the game in Compatibility mode, go to your games install/binship folder, right click "DAOrigins.exe" or "DAOrigins", and click the option in the pop-up menu "Properties". In the "DAOrigins.exe Properties" window, click the tab labeled "Compatibility", click the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", and select "Window XP (Service Pack 3)" in the drop down box under "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".
