Ah cool; what system do you have? Might be something we both have that is causing it not to work?
try hitting the ~ and see if you can click. at least twice try that.
the console is technically invisible. And while it's open, your mouse doesnt work, and the keyboard is only throwing in invisible letters, numbers, or whatever you're hitting on the keyboard.
If you dont have the console enabled. Try deleting your dragonage.ini file, and see if that clears it up.
its located in documents/bioware/dragon age/settings
Don't worry, the game WILL rebuild this file the next time that it loads.
This has worked for me at the moment! Not sure why or how but simply used origin and it detected the game was installed and now it is working.
To anyone in 2023 or later who is having the problem of not being able to see menu options or dialogue options the above IS the fix for this. It will basically put you back to default aspect ratio. Lot of threads saying to run through Origin, which is now EA, but tried them all and nothing worked. Mine was couldn't see anything in options under main menu, when you create a new player you don't get next or ok button & no dialogue options. The problem is your aspect ratio but even if you "adjust" the aspect ratio, for example through Steam startup config, it still doesn't work. At least for me it didn't. I had to delete the dragonage.ini file. I experimented and found 1280-720 fit my screen perfectly. Most likely anything higher and you start not seeing menus.
