How to see what specializations are unlocked?
I know I can see them when I level up but I want to see them now :)

The reason is I went to Bodahn to buy the Ranger book and noticed it wasn't there so I'm wondering if I somehow unlocked it and didn't notice, since I read that the book is not available if you have already unlocked that specialization.

you might be able to in character information, don't think so though think you ned to reach that screen through some form of leveling (like stat book would also bring you to that screen).

You can just grab a unlock all specilization mod if your worried about it and don't want to experience unlocking it/do many playthroughs -->you only need to unlock them 1x like a achievment which there might also be of. (I loved having to unlock them myself, but played it many many times)
Also you can grab the increase max level mod (if you want the expansion specilizations)

If you already unloked it in another playthough, you will already have it. You only need to unlock specializations once each no matter how many new games you start.

That can't be true can it? I hope that's not true cos I like unlocking them in each play through, at least at this point in time I do, I'm on my second playthrough.

I could have sworn Bodahn had the book though the last time I visited him, I guess I'll just have to wait for Leliana's next level up to find out.

It works to the extent that you can cheese it within a single game save.

Save game before buying specialization. Buy the specialization. Reload to before you got it and not only do you now still have your money, but still have the specialization as well.

(I try to resist doing this on personal principle. But there was a time a game bug forced my hand.)

I do not have it unlocked, is it normal for Bodahn to not have the Ranger book?

you should have it unlocked either you some how bugged it or dont have a specilization point and confused by that.

once you unlock class it permentally unlocks for profile. (like the dlc achievments rewards)

I want Leliana to be a Ranger, when I levelled her up the class was not available, is there a level requirement for it?

As for the classes being unlocked permanently that's not true for me, I had to get Alistair to unlock the Templar class by talking to him again, I would have had the Templar class unlocked from the start if they carry over to a new game right? I am quite sure I bugged it somehow.

I guess their isn't a simple way of unlocking just that one class is there with the console or something?

Edit: Actually this mod looks like just what I need: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/570

Your Warden gets a point at level 7 and one at 14. NPCs get a new specialization point at 14. Shale and Dog do not get any.

There's also this mod, which I'm using.

This puts Ravens at several locations. You can interact with them to get a potion. Using it will let you reassign their attribute points, skills, talents/spells and specializations (only ones you have unlocked).

I'm 100% convinced it is bugged, and that respec mod looks really great, I have it installed now :)

I'm so glad for mods.

That ranger trainer mod I got is no use, he says I don't have the required knowledge or something so I'm just gonna get the mod to unlock everything. I guess it's because I'm not a Rogue.

lol... ya the specilization is for rouges only the unlock all will just unlock them as if you did their requirement at some point, go to a rouge and I bet you can see the ranger for them available when you have a point. (But ya unless you find/get another mod that unlocks them for all classes which idk if there is one it wont work)

I was trying to get it for Leliana and it never worked. Could it be because she's only level 13?
LukanGamer Sep 24, 2019 @ 11:56am
ya make sure you have a specilization point should get one at 14 I think.
