It's not a pc game only .... and while for its time was difficult for them to make console version sacrificing top down camera view (no big) there 0 reason it wouldn't be on console which btw the other dragon ages are also and work fine/better after tech got better. (though due to this tech limitation is likely reason they never added controller support and game is from a time when that was not much of a thing any ways)
Even Civilization.... had a console game.... I think even some digital ones .... Granted in this case they were no where near as good as the pc ones.
they are just saying the version you are buying aka steam is for pc only. its obviously for console as well. I am not sure why the complaint for controller support. PC gives you far more control than console ( controller) support. PC gives you many more slots for skills.
The best of all for PC you can mod it for amazing up to date graphics for character looks, world looks npc looks. Plus there are mods for adding more player created content! Heck i still play it with more mods i created and others created!, extending the shelf life majorly.
as for Dragon AGE II and Inquisition, the UI layout is just about the same if not simplified a bit more for PC version.
umm no he is not, he thought it was pc only game and even said so which for a very very tiny time it was, but I assume due to the age of the game and console is why he didn't know this. It also is very funny how of the 999999999999999 games that exist that are pc only and he names ones that are not. :D
As far as why use a controller because here a thing it called some people like to use a controller and use other things that you don't 0_0
I know shocking not everyone in world likes same things as you, and the fact that is many like to use controllers in many games On Pc its kind of a thing (I know you seem to be lacking and therefore likely lacking in understanding/knowing), but ya its a thing and has been a thing a while now, and to want to use a controller on pc is not abnormal.
And guess what a simple proof would be if people did not like/want to use a controller on pc it wouldn't be possible (outside maybe home tech hackers w/e) and you would not see them everywhere one way or another.
No1 here even talking about pc modding etc..., we talking about being able to use a controller and why / if it possible to do so along with me pointing out to him that the game series is on console since he was giving+had false info; so will ignore the lol unrelated things.
Again there is a console game of it aka it has controller layout and playability just fine along with plenty of pc games that have it as a option I mean even Golf It has and that a pain in the butt to use a controller over mouse to most people understandably.
I think Dragon Age Inquisition has built in support to use controller, but not positive. Dragon Age 2 I know added a mod.
oh no! you didn't like my comment? What will I ever do?? Noooo! >< Seriously though lol.
you sure like to be condescending jerk where ever you comment ay? What ever makes you feel better about yourself I guess. Good Luck keeping friends in the long run though! But who am I kidding, I am pretty sure you do not talk to someone face to face like you do on here. Ah the internet. A place where you can be a condescending jerk and no consequences. Guess you love it ay?
Only Dragon Age game that has controller support is Inquisition.
Look, some people can't manage keyboard and mouse for one reason or another, I can't because my hands are arthritic, I'm an older gamer but still playing using a controller. More power to you if you don't like using one but why the need to instantly attack? All you will do is make asking questions a minefield which people will avoid.
Yeah, people just can't let others have their preferences. I played through this on PS3 and it was one of the greatest video game experiences of my life. I play on PC now and was hoping I could still use a controller for this. There are mods on the Nexus that add compatibility for gamepads, so that may be worth looking into.
As for suggesting which input device to use, I can understand it if it's for a game that truly has strong disadvantages with one vs the other. For example, a racing game is just not going to be precise with WASD, an RTS game isn't going to be quick and precise with a controller. Then there's the middle ground, like an FPS which is totally comfortable on a controller, but many prefer it with K&M, and third-person action games like Bloodborne which is arguably much better with a controller, but people still prefer K&M.
DA: O may have functions that work more quickly and smoothly with K&M, but the fact that it's on console proves that it works perfectly fine with a controller.
Just live and let live. The more people that can access our favorite games, the more successful those games are and the better it is for all of us.
It's not your place to decide what people should use or should like. Perhaps if you'd read the previous comments you wouldn't have made such a pointless statement.
