Confused with the end of the game and Awakening.

So I'm going to try and describe all this without writing too much. First off, I romanced Morrigan, and glitch list on the Wiki says if I got the ring epiloge then Awakening won't recognize the romance occured. But I can fix that by giving her the gold mirror in the post-epilog auto save, therefore reactivating the romance. But if it is after the epiloge, does Awakeing still think I finished the game, or is this just an auto save before the final battle? I'm confused on how this post-epiloge stuff works. The game is finished but it's not?

I'm almost willing to just let Awakening ignore the romance, but will loading my Awakening character progress into Witch Hunt make Witch Hunt think I never romanced her, even though I did in the original game? I'm so confused, can someone please tell me how to handle this?

Bioware made a nice little mess for us, didn't they?

No romancing in Awakening anyway...soooo i wouldnt worry much about it.

But if Awakening were to think that your character had no romance with Morrigan in the base game, would that carry over to Witch Hunt?

I had heard before that Awakening was a rushed job and never knew what people meant, but now looking at the list of bugs I see why. Continuity errors, "forgetting" things that happened in the base game, not being able to do certain quests or things with followers unless you complete main quests in the right order... Why Bioware, why? This would be so much easier if I wasn't worried about my world state carrying over the exact way I left it. I only hope that using the Keep to transfer between main games is less of a hassle.

Sorry I can't help you with that. I was so worried about that happening as I love the story and my ocd would have gone mad, but I played through and got the ring epilogue and still got the awakening romance.
