Can't initiate the blacksmith part of the quest!!
Hey guys, i'm in redcliff and at the part of the quest where i need to talk to Owen the blacksmith, however the door simply says that its locked and won't initiate the conversation with him. I don't want to let the town be attacked and come back later so is there some way to bypass this damn door? Some cheat or anything to teleport inside, i saw some people making posts about this issue but all are among the morons who simply say "i solved it" at the end like they are the only person in the world to have the issue....

I will assume You did all the requirements to start the quest? Talk to mayor, Ban Teagan and the knight at the top pf the hill. Sorry its been awhile and memory a tad blurred.

There is a few mods that you can use to get in the door. But if you do not get the option to knock (Do you)? then I would guess that you have missed a step somewhere.

There is open lock spells and bash lock spells you can get via Nexus mod manager. But I would start with a google search. "name of quest" + "Dragon age" + "bug"

If you have already played through game and this is a 2nd or 3rd playthrough I would reccomend looking into nexus as there is some real amazing mods for this game.

Sorry i didnt see the response until now, the only mod i found was lock bash but it doesnt seem to work either, both in general and because the door requires a lore-specific key. No options triggers when clicking the door but i have done absoultely everything else possible in redcliff. I played the game a long time ago so i dont excatly remember what kind prompt should appear but nothing does. I only get "key required" message followed by nothing :/
Do u know any particular mods that would allow me to, like force the door open through console or teleport inside or anything :S?

Try with this cheats:

runscript zz_jump_around - Teleports you to set teleport points on the current map. (E.G. Map transition points.)

And

runscript zz_goto <Tag> [Number] - Teleports the player to position of the object/creature with the specified tag. Object/Creature must be in the same area. The optional Number argument is a 0 based index that can be used to disambiguate which object to teleport to in the case where there are multiple objects with the same tag.

I just checked, and there is no condition at all on getting Owen's dialogue when you click on that door. It always happens - you don't need to have talked to anyone in town first, nor any particular quest chain started. Are you sure you're clicking on the correct door? I can't check right now to confirm as I'm off to work, but I believe you'll see "Blacksmithy" if you hover the mouse over the door.

Trying to teleport to anywhere within the area isn't going to help, Owen's smithy is a separate area. Well, unless you ARE clicking on the wrong door, then it might help you find the correct one. The tag for Owen's door is "arl100ip_door_owen".

Yep, definitely the right "Blacksmithy" door. I'm gonna give those cheats a shot but really puzzled as to what could be causing this, i'm using only a few texture mods nothing that would cause issues like this...
