What crystals (both small and large) have you given Shale?
How many health potions do you have?
What can your other two characters do?
Shale has Clear Natural Crystals in both slots.
I'm quite short on health potions. I made sure to look through every single shop in the game and there were none left. I guess I'm just really bad at managing my supplies. I'm not in a much better position as far as injury kits go either. But hey, at least I have lots of lyrium potions! And... no mage...
I brought Sten along as well. Two handed warrior just as he was when I first met him. He has the full Juggernaut set and Asala.
I also kinda thought it'd be interesting to see a dog fighting a dragon... I guess the joke's on me. I'm not certain if it was the worst pick though. Zevran surely couldn't stay alive for as long as the dog does and Alistair is severely undergeared due to the fact that I NEVER brought him along.
I suppose Oghren would have been a good pick but oh well.
I'm currently trying to fight through Denerim and I'm BARELY getting by. I'm down to 0 health potions and I'm pretty much at the mercy of the Army AI. I'm giving myself 10 more humiliating deaths before I swallow my pride and turn the difficulty down to easy.
There'll be a time for gitting gud but it seems it won't be today.
Now the plan is to play through it again in hopes that this time my choices will lead to a better outcome in the end. This time IF I get to the point where I NEED to lower the difficulty I'll just admit defeat and delete the save. Who said the hero HAS to win, right?
wwhy haven't you made hundreds of healing potions ?

You'll need a powerful mage, (preferably with group healing, i.e. Wynne), a fully fleshed-out and upgranded ranged class, (Leliana or your GW) and Morrigan, dependent on the choices you've made. Any warrior will suffice as tanks and/or deathdealers but Shale is ideal.
Use Stamina potions to keep the powerful bow attacks coming and use AoE sparingly, especially on higher difficulties. If you have an earlier save, drop by and say hello to Sandal to pick up so great gear beforehand.
Let the Warden in for the killing blow and end the Blight once and for all.
Shale is a good tank for keeping the archdemon's attention on her, just make sure you got the spirit crystal on armour & nature crystals on weapons, since the Archdemon doesn't have a high resistance to nature damage.
I used the Dalish elves & my Rogue to shoot arrows or operate the Ballista. Wynne was on healing duty.
My Warden was a mage who kept it debuffed as much as possible & threw in some nukes & dots when possible.
It took me a few attempts to beat it on Normal my first time, but I enjoyed the fight.
You should try to have a character make health potions & also spirit balms to resist the Archdemons attacks as they're all spirit damage. Also equip the rest of your party with as much spirit resistance gear you can get.
