tried compatibility mode, adminsitrator, turning off anti virus... "medal of honor has stopped working" whenever i try to launch.
same error. and i seriously doubt i had to install anything to begin with since ive ran dozens of games on this box.
Have Win7 64bit. Here is what worked for me:
Created a shortcut of the moh.exe from ...Steam\steamapps\common\Medal of Honor\Binaries on the desktop. Ran it as admin. Then there was the question for the serial number. I entered the serial number new since there was something added to it in the dialog box. After that everything worked for me even when starting the game over steam. So I deletetd the shortcut.

As I said, I removed my AV software and it worked.
You don't have to uninstall AV SW. Props to Mr.2peu from this link[forum.fioriginal.ro]
I have BitDefender, so I translated this part for those that don't speak romanian - most of you, I suppose :)
1. Open BitDefender's Control Panel
2. Go to Settings - Antivirus - Exclusions
3. In case you don't have access to "Excluded files and folder", "Excluded extensions" and "Excluded processes" you have to change the top-right switch to "ON"
4. Click on "Excluded files and folder" then "Add" and add the paths to your install folder. The below lines are just examples:
6. Now go to "Excluded processes" then "Add" and add the path to the executable (moh.exe). Example below:
This worked like a charm...at least in my case. Again, thanks to Mr.2peu.
For those running any other antivirus, you should just follow the above instructions and find out where to set the exceptions in that particular app of yours.
Good luck!
I had a free version. Only "enable/disable" and "exit" :)
I use MSE atm, but thanks anyway :)
