Idk but I was gonna buy it anyways for the campaign so now I'll buy it next sale so I can play some mp too, you can try it and tell if there's any active servers, if not should hold a few play sessions while it's possible.

EA refused to provide keys so unless you got one a long time ago you were out of luck anyways like myself and many here..

It is a shame that multiplayer servers are down. I was playing it many years , know most of the players and now all is gone. Fill shallow now.

This game has my favorite traditional single player campaign. The realism makes for a very immersive experience. At the time I loved it a lot more than Modern Warfare 2.

The multiplayer was also a lot of fun and I'm really sad it's all gone now. I can't believe they completely abandoned the series.

From what I remember, the multiplayer for this game was terrible because they outsourced it to Dice. You'd think that would be a good thing, but Dice was currently working on their next Battlefield title and obviously weren't going to do anything spectacular here.
The following title, Medal of Honor: Warfighter had a much better multiplayer because it was done by the development team who worked on the single-player game.
