Stuck on Helicopter mission

After destroying the Ammo Dump, 11 says there are a few squirters and we should get them too. the helicopters stay idle but I can't find any more enemies. then both helicopters start moving away, the music ends so it should be the end but I get stuck in the middle of the hills.

even though load checkpoint didn't fix it, restart mission did.

Did you ever work out how to get past this? I’ve got the same thing.

as I said, I had to restart the mission. loading checkpoint never fixed it.

Restarting alone didn't help for me, I had to choose "Campaign->Mission Select" on main menu instead of continue. After selecting the last mission on day 1, I switched to harder difficulty (read that somewhere). The mission didn't seem to be harder at all, there is another airborne part after the former stuck checkpoint. Right after being soldier again, reapplied medium difficulty in main menu "Mission Select" and went on.

I thought it was a bug too. Switch to the other missile you used at the start of the mission for the last bunker.

For those playing on steam deck if this didn’t work for you I finally fixed it after a few days. First go to the game menu in steam deck game mode. You’ll have the play button and the controller and settings icons to the right. Pick the settings gear. Once you click that go to properties. In general turn off the Steam Overlay. Under compatibility turn on the force to use specific and use proton experimental. Once you’ve done that start the game, don’t click continue and play gunfighters and select hard. This fixed it for me.
