the last chapter
so i pretty much enjoyed the whole game until the end...what is the appeal to die a 100 times in every sequence...i dont know what the makers of this game where thinking making it stupid hard even on easy mode flaming throwing around...what a failure.

well to be honest dead space 2 ending is kinda of hard because of the ubermorph but its really easy if u actuaaly play through dead space 2 alot

yeah i rarely play single players and the rushing was kinda annoying, i started on hard and ended the game on wussy mode annoyed by dying so much.

and yes the ending sucked there was no ending.

Christ, I agree. I was pretty good at the first game, played it all the time. But the end bit of this game? I was screaming at the ruddy monitor, something I rarely do in games...just ran past Most of the enemies in a fit of anger. And that ending DID suck.

I first played it on the hardest difficulty available for first playthroughs. I thought the end was tough, but I liked it. Sure I got angry at things that got in my way slowing me down lol, but its like a dance (yes I am going there) where you just have to learn the movements and timing to get through unscathed. I did like the story part of it too...

the ending wasnt that bad, but i was frustrated with the crazy in the head boss battle thing, died like 5 times raged quitted then tried again on easy then win lol

the last chapter....had problems, the invincible one? i swear i spent half an hour trying to kill it! than once i figured out i couldnt i just ran, i ran i ran i ran, which well doesnt let me "stop and smell the flowers" the boss fight in your head was really annoying for me hahaha i had to use that big ol' cannon. and to be honest i loved the ending, dunno why i just did

The last part was made that way so it would keep you on your toes, when i went through that on hardcore my heart was beating so fast, after the nicole battle i felt great i just survived 13 hours of hell.

The last chapter was not that hard. All you had to was cut off at the least its legs and then use stasis to slow it down for a few seconds. There were a few areas that it would not show up at and you could take a breather. As far as the ending I had no problem with it. Throughout the game nicole tormented him, it seemed fitting to fight her in your head. How that destroyed the marker I do not understand but I accept that it did.

If you find the last chapter too hard, you may try with a different combination of weapons and upgrades.

E.g. I have found that a very effective combination (even at zealot level) is the ripper + contact beam + line gun and a few stasis charges. The contact beam must have the special upgrade that also applies stasis with its alternate fire mode. Every time the foe that doesn't die catches up with you, you hit it with stasis and then cut it thoroughly with the ripper, and then stasis again to slow it further. When in a tight situation, you can again stasis + ripper or, better, just hit the floor with the alternate fire mode of the contact beam, once or twice as necessary. If you need to hit a foe from a distance, you can use the line gun, easier if you first use stasis, then you can fire with the line gun alternate mode (with upgrade to shorten its duration before it goes off).

Alternatively you could use just the force gun + contact beam and stasis, as the force gun is effective at short range, like the ripper, but also has a ranged secondary mode.

I have found it more convenient to only carry 3 weapons throughout the game; if I carry a weapon I don't use much, I still find its ammos around, and they are a waste.

I did enjoy the finale, however it becomes ridiculously easy if one uses the contact beam.
Maybe it's just me.. but I never found the last chapter hard.

I did it easily my first play through (which I did on Zealot), and the only places where I skipped enemies were on that final cross-cross area right before Nicole. Because, in that area, the enhanced monsters in the side-rooms will continually respawn, and if you try to clear everything you'll just run out of ammo by the time Nicole roles around.

When I beat the game on Hardcore, I beat the entire last 2 chapters in one run through without a single death, it really wasn't bad. At that point you're getting so much cash and can spend it on nothing but health / medpacks, and so you're a killing machine.

In my opinion, the hardest part of the game is the right after Daina dies and before you get down into the CEC facility. I'm always strapped for money, power nodes, health kits, and ammo through those few levels. Before and after I'm perfectly fine on everything.

Well he must have thought of the markers heart was really the marker so he was shooting the marker wich eventually destroyed it like in the multiplayer where you destroy marker prototypes
