Unlocked all things at beginning?

I just beat my steam copy of Dead Space 1 and went on to my steam copy of #2 and made it to the first store terminal in the game. In the terminal I already have everything unlocked... all the suits and weapons... and I've never played the game before. The only thing in the terminal that costs me money is the starting suit which costs 1,000. I don't want these things without earning them and I don't want to pretend that I haven't obtained them yet. However I also don't want to try some fix that may or may not work and repeatedly have to make my way to this point in the game just to see if its back to normal. So I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and what you guys think I should do. Thanks >.>

Those are some things I was able to find about the matter. I've played through the game multiple times and haven't encountered any devastating bugs, though. And there are still better suits to be unlocked throughout the story and upon completion of the game.

somehow I ended up low on ammo a few times despite getting more than usual ammo.

The Steam version of Dead Space 2 includes a piece of DLC that unlocks better armor and all the weapons at the start, thereby negating the need to find schematics and decreasing the difficulty. It's recommended for full effect that on the first run through you play without this DLC. To remove this DLC, either play the game on Origin, or download the original .exe here.

Simply make a backup copy of the currently installed .exe, download the old .exe, and copy it to the Dead Space 2 folder. You'll then be able to play the game without the extra unlocks. However, it recommended that you use the newer .exe for subsequent play-thoughs, as it properly unlocks some bonus items that you normally get for completing the game."

If you exchange the .exe, there still will be at least too DLC-items unlocked AND the weapon wheel keeps popping up ALL the time.

EDIT: If you reset the key settings and rebind the keys, at least the keys will work then again fine.

But nevertheless 2 DLC-items remain.

hey guys i noticed this too, so is there a way to play the game WITHOUT dlcs and pay to win? i dont want any dlcs. so shall i buy all the weapons and suits for 0 cash and store them away? or does the exe work and is trustworthy?

That's a ♥♥♥♥. I really like to play this game and I am disappointed that I can not enjoy game the way should be because of stupid DLC where you can't turn of ot in the option. This is destroyed game idea. Seriously what games unlock all items and progress on the beginning! Going to give dislike in Steam Store.
