Does DS2 have a good ending?

I don't want spoilers but I know there is a Dead Space 3 but will not buy it as it's on Origin. By playing Dead Space 1 and then 2 will it give me a satisfying conclusion or does it lead to a cliffhanger ready for Dead Space 3?
If it has it's own ending that does not require me to then play the 3rd then I will happily buy it.

Stuff EA and there Origin Virus, it's the other reason I won't play Mass Effect Trilogy.

Dead space 2 ends on (imo) quite a well built up climax. No real cliffhanger (there might be a minor fact in a text log mentioned somewhere that comes up in dead space 3, but it is very minor here) You're fine with just DS1 and 2, pretty good games by themselves

Got all those games on Origin and they all have great endings got them all on major 75% off sales, just sayin.

You are probably someone who boycots a video game company but buys nestle products I bet. Origin has improved drastically since it came to be, and steam was worse at its release. Just saying.

Are ponies related to EA/Origin? I like ponies, probably buy more of there games now. With each purchase adopt a pony. I always wanted a pony called Mr Tibbles.
