Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2

Which is better Dead Space 2 or 3?
I just finished the original game (free copy on origin) and that was fun. It looks like 2 got much better reviews than 3, but that's in review land. What does the steam community have to say, how do the 2nd and 3rd compare to the original and each other?

Which would you recommend?

Ok, thnx, also I might give Hard Reset a look too :)

Dead Space 2 looks a lot like Dead Space 1 but with much better graphics and... omg... Isaac speaks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3dGyJeDPlQ

I love all 3 and Hard Reset too! And don't forget Shadow Warrior!

But Dead Space 3 is the best - after you have played 1 and 2. Because in 3, although the necros are mostly the same, the environments are varied and different from 1/2. The characters are more human and not so military, and Isaac is not bossed about. Instead he is a mediator. Also you get to make your own weapons.

So, if you can afford it, or get a chance to buy them in a sale, buy both. You won't regret it and you'll get a lot of fun out of all of them.

Each one is its own game. Some games I don't like radical changes in sequels; but it works for Dead Spacew 1,2 and 3

I played from 1 to 3 in the chronological order, and it went well. You can play in any order you want, but for me following Dead Space story is worth it. Play the 2 ; and it's my favorite.

Continue with DS2 before DS3. There are so many story elements in 2 that carry across to the third game that you'll be missing a lot by skipping 2.
I played a little of "Dead Space 2" last year before my old PC started acting up, and from what little of it i've played, it looks pretty good and still has somewhat of a scare factor to it that was carried over from the first one.

I'm giving DS1 impossible mode a try now. Whoa, much tougher going.

Dead Space 3 was kinda alet down... Dat ending brah, sucks they killed the series with that game, the DLC really opened up a huge window for DS 4, too bad that won't be coming around

Dead Space 2 is the best all around in my opinion. The first one was great but it's hard to go back and replay that game because of the repetitiveness of some parts. Also on the technical side Dead Space 2 and 3 are much better ports than the first one.

I prefer Dead Space 2. I play it on Origin. Dead Space 3 is more like action instead of horror like the previous ones.
