When I'm Pissed Was 60FPS Now It's 30FPS?
What happened I remember when I bought this game years ago it running at 60fps why does it run at 30fps with in game v sync turned on???? I have a RX580 8GB and in the driver I can't get it to force vsync at 60fps as there used to be a slide bar you could set. But AMD being AMD like to make the drivers so hard to find s***

The in game Vsync caps the framerate to 30fps, and always has. If you want Vsync and 60, turn off ingame vsync, force Vsync inside the driver control panel, then use a program like Rivatuner, to cap your framerate to 60. Inside Rivatuner, you can even create a profile for the game, so as long as RivaTuner is running, it will be at 60, instead of having to manually cap it at 60 everytime.

You can download it from here https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download.html

I have rivatuner installed as I use it to show my info when playing games so I will try that.

But when it first came out I never had to do this it actually played in 60fps when it first launched on pc

If you want to just cap the fps, use AMD FRTC, AMD Chill OR RivaTunner.
If you want Vsync, either use AMD Enhanced Sync OR DXVK Async (which by default has Vsync enabled)

I recommend DXVK ASYNC instead of regular DirectX9 due to the game stuttering quite often on AMD hardware (on my 5700 XT at least)

I also have the stutter on an AMD GPU with the game set to Vsync off and frame capped at 58 (as per my monitor's..er TV screen's refresh rate) "older" games usually these games from the early 2010s for some reason usually struggle to run smooth on newer hardware.

Remove the cap and use DXVK Async (which again, has Vsync by default) and all stuttering will be gone ^.^

Finally fixed it via the AMD Drivers, enabled Radeon Chill set min and max FPS to 60fps and then enabled AMD Radeon Enhanced Sync to stop the screen tearing and then turned off in game v-sync. I get 60fps now and it plays so much better for about 45mins of it I was playing with 30fps and it just felt awful like I was back on PS3.

i swear this was at 60 until recently
even ran smooth on my on my ♥♥♥♥ celeron laptop i had a few years back
though now having vsync running system wide and turning it off in games seems to be the better choice overall

It was 60fps at launch on PC it was for years but they gave away the DLC weapons for free after so long patched it in and it caused the FPS to tank to 30fps and they never fixed it
