Thanks for a completely useless link.
OK, it requires a longer explanation. I had Dead Space 2 installed on my PC. I finished it on my PC fairly recently. Then I installed it on my Steam Deck OLED, to see how well it works. Upon game launch, it showed me the activation error, "no more activations left". I looked for solution for quite a while, until I found how to un-activate it from my PC. But for the life of me, I can't remember how I did it!! xD
I think I went to game files and found a little app that activates/de-activates it. According to Internet, the game came with 5 activations. Now I'm down to one, obviously. I wonder what will happen when I change my PC next time and entirely forget to un-activate my copy of Dead Space 2.
Edit: I actually don't know if I was having the same problem, my game would launch for like a second and then crash (i think) ba k to the menu. I couldn't figure out why it was doing this but I decided to type in he product key in the launch options and it fixed mine. I hope you got the game working!
