EA is shutting down the multiplayer for dead space 2 on December 8th

Recently last month EA posted a list of games being shutdown and one of them is dead space 2’s multiplayer. This is sad cause I remember having so much fun on it even though I played it only once on steam. It also means that the dead space 2 remake might or might not have the multiplayer. The multiplayer will shutdown on steam on December 8th on steam, origin, Xbox, and PlayStation.

As much as I want a remake for 2 I really wouldn't take this as a fact that if a 2nd remake happens it will have MP. The servers are just shutting down since the game sadly is 12 near 13 years old now

Ngl I didn't even know the pc version had servers ever or at least for a good while now. This does kinda piss me off though since even though I've never played the multiplayer I want to now since it's closing and I feel pressured to get as much time out of it as I can before December 8th.

Yeah I only got into a session back in May it was fun playing as the necromorph and Survivors

Pity it didn't get any horde-like coop mod instead of this PvP one requiring at least 8 players to play it. Still I had some some memories about this multiplayer from 12 years back and I wish it was kept alive.

I was never able to access the multiplayer, I thought it was already shutdown years ago.
