Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2

Is this game getting a remake or remaster?
So, I've literally just finished the Dead Space remake, and bought the both the sequels recently because they were quite cheap. However, I've now been wondering if I should hold off on playing these for now, because from what I've been reading, at least Dead Space 2 might get a makeover, but I don't think anything has been confirmed yet, right?

You think something is in the works? Or should I just play it now? I started it up, to see what it looks like, and I honestly feel like it still holds up pretty well.

Edit: Finished the game. It was pretty decent.

No info at all, just play the rest of the series now as the remake they must be working on will take years to be completed

Dead space 2 is really good on it’s own and never really needed a remake (although it would be cool)
Dead Space 1 and 3 are the only ones that needed an remake imo, 1 because of the dated graphics, story inconsistensies and awkward wonky game engine, 3 because the pacing of the game was awful, the dumb resource system, cheap assets and levels reused over and over again to pad the game, forced co-op, and "Call-Of-Dutyization" of the franchise.

Other than DLC weapons and suits being given for free for no reason on the pc version, DS2 was perfect.

As much as I enjoy DS2 it can definitely use a touch up. Getting rid of the quick time events to cut scenes would be better. Getting rid of the breakable windows since it really just feels too much like a video game in that aspect since it was following the trend at the time. Fleshing out certain stuff more than what we actually got like the whole mad dash in chapter 1 and 2 could definitely be explored more so could the tormentor.

why would you purchase them and not play them? Just go with it-
2 is good
3 is problematic, so I hope you got awakened DLC.

DS2 doesn't need a remake to be honest, I would'nt complain if they do though, play DS3 as well, despite it's reputation it has unique customizations.

DS1 Remake is excellent.
DS2 Remake would be cool tho, with all DLC included.
DS3 Remake needs better gameplay

DS still holds up extremely well in 2023 and didn't even need a remake.

This means yes DS2 is 100% worth playing. :dhlostskull:
