Game not lauching. Help please

i try to launch my game and everytime it starts it my screen goes black then nothing happens and the game didnt open i tried most steps to figure out why it wont start, any solutions or help please?

im having the same issue. But im launching from gamepass/EA Play.

Does your computer have more than 10 CPUs? If so, you'll need to update your BIOS settings to restrict CPU count to 10 in order to play Dead Space 2. You can do this by typing "msconfig" into your Start menu (this will open "System Configuration") and on the Boot tab, there's a button called "Advanced Options...". Clicking on that, there is a checkbox for "Number of Processors".

Check that off, set it to 10, then restart your computer. Now, it should be able to run Dead Space 2.

It's possible to set the affinity of a process as it's launched, so in theory Steam could make a small compatibility shim to launch the game without users needing to manually disable CPU cores. However, I don't know Valve's policy on assisting with compatibility in this way.

You DON'T have to limit your cores like cthonianmessiah is suggesting.

I fixed my launch by changing resolution on my Computer to 1024x720 then it launched
all i had to do then was go to settings in game change resolution to 1980x1024 then save and exit game reset my pc resolution back to 1980x1024 now it runs good & looks great.
