The Final Boss Fight Seems Endless

I am playing the game on Xbox game pass (PC). Got to the final boss fight and tried already like 20 times and for hours but it seems like it's endless. I've shot the marker with plasma cutter, force gun alt fire and line gun alt fire but it seems to go on for waves. Everyone I've seen on YouTube completed it in 3 waves with less ammo but for me, I had even reached the 5th wave but still doesn't end. I've shot marker as many times as possible every time it opens up those cores but it just doesn't die. Am I missing something or my game's bugged? Anybody also having/had this problem? Hm I assume you already capped your fps to avoid random scripting bugs if not cap your fps to 60.

I recommend the contact beam weapon with all attack speed and clip upgrades as it is far the best againts final boss.

You need to shoot nicole then when she dies shoot the market.
On normal difficulty this should end in 1-2"waves".

But it is usually fast enough that packs can not get to you.

Make sure to verfiy game cache too.

Do you mean turning on vsync? If I turn it on, I get like nearly 30 fps, not 60. When it's off, I get over 100fps. I don't know if there's any way for cap it at 60.

I don't have the contact beam weapon and also don't have money for it. But I have seen people beating it with plasma cutter in 3 waves. I shoot Nicole until the cores open and then shoot the cores of the marker as many times as I can and repeat until I get overwhelmed by the shadows. I also verified the game files on the EA app but nothing changed. I am playing on normal, so it really shouldn't cross 3 waves, right?
