Dead Space 2

For those who can't launch the game due Dead Space 2 not supporting CPU with more than 10 cores.
If you are having trouble launching Dead Space 2 it may be because the game doesn't support CPU with more than 10 cores, my i7-12700H (14 core CPU) had this exact issue.

EA's community manager already confirmed they will not be addressing this problem so it's up to the players to fix it.

Luckily a user named "h3llf1re2012" on EA Answers HQ forum made a workaround fix for this problem, here's the link to the thread if you want to read his original post:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-Dead-Space-Games/Dead-Space-2-will-crash-on-launch-with-more-than-10-processors/td-p/5669496 (Go to Page 2, Post #14)

Here's the download link to the workaround files:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OglTev8mpgwgikXHpiy3HifnS8F9aSsJ

Make sure the file name is called "Dead Space 2 - workaround for more than 10 cores.zip" before you proceed.

[How to Install]

Open the folder. Copy the two files "d3d9.dll" & "dxwrapper.dll" from the folder.

Drop them into the Dead Space 2 folder, in case you didn't know where it is:
Windows(C:) > Program Files(x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Dead Spaces 2

Simply drop the two files in the same place as ''deadspace2.exe'' (or just "deadspace2") and you're good to go.

The game should now launch without any issue.

Feel free to discuss and to provide feedback if I missed anything. Cheers.
