DLC content. Buy all the free weapons and shove it in your vault and never use it. Hold back on the armor until you find equivalent gear in the game world, if you want to be purist about it.
Apparently one too many for EA.
It's easier to put old .exe on the forums and consider it done.
and I don't blame the modders one bit when EA does a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing like that!!! Hell, if I could, i'd shake their hand personally.
Also made shop cluttered.........
You can use them as an easy mode.
I like to play without them in that case you need to find blueprints and use early suits which have less armor and inventory space and cost money just like in DS 1.
Free dlc weapons are also better than ingame cost ones and many of those your find later.
EA should have made a toggle on off for free dlc........

The only problem is the 1.0 version has bugged unlock conditions for certain NG+ items, and hardcore mode doesn't work as intended. (Though I actually prefer it. Basically a no checkpoints mode.) This also works retroactively on existing 2.0 saves. (Though items in your Safe remain.)
Someone with time and a hexeditor could probably figure out how to disable the DLC on the 2.0 exe.
There are more suit blueprints on new game plus.
As for the dlc weapons, their stats are different than the ones found in the game.
The DS1 plasma cutter shows up in the DS2 store, only if you have a save from the original game.
