Product key fix ish.

for people that have the issue of having the key problem ive got couple steps for fixing it.

-Step 1 make sure u got winrar for this

-Step 2 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/813368332556042240/813368514646769734/DEAD.SPACE.2.V1.0.ALL.FAIRLIGHT.NODVD.ZIP install this link as winrar.

-Step 3 open that winrar file u installed and open it until u find "deadspace2.exe"

-Step 4 Search up your ds2 folder in steam file and remove your currently ds2.exe file and replace it with the downloaded ds2.exe file this will get ds2 working and no key problem at all...tho it will say everytime "activate key" press ok and ur ingame.

Let me know if this works for u guys as it worked for me and couple others i know thanks for reading. Thank me later.

You could have solved the Issue in another way

You must contact EA support (use Live Chat EA ). You will need to tell them your email address to which your Steam account is linked. Then they will add the game to you in Origin.
How to get a CD-key?
1. Go to the Origin library.
2. Click on the properties of the game, the CD-key will be shown there.
3. Copy it, separate the key with a dash. (For example: B5XX-SHXX-DNXX-ZJXX-SBXX)
4. Then, when you start the game in Steam, enter this key and the game is successfully activated!

Yeah this is the solution that will get it working on steam im not asking it for origin...as i got it on steam myself also

Did you read it carefully? Without Origin, you can't get the key, consider it ♥♥♥♥, etc., but here you can't do without it

In any case, the game will be added to the Origin's library, and without Orgin, you can't get the key, consider you have 2 copies of the game

yes its a crack but its basically the only fix for steam version of Dead Space 2 as if u ask EA they will give u a origin key instead of a steam one...

Interesting "fix" I stumbled on for me... I own DS2 on Origin so I installed a second copy via Origin and ran it. Booted up correctly. Started up steam copy and ran correctly then I uninstalled the Origin copy and Steam copy still works.
