How to fix zealot and hardcore unlock rewards

This is old news but the arctic suit, solider suit and handcannon are glitched/bug on pc to where you can't get them after completing the game on hardcore. I am aware of a solution that was posted by user back in 2011 but a lot has changed since then in terms of how to access the files that were said in the post, something about changing values in the game's code to unlock the suits and gun. So does anyone know a updated solution to this problem?

I see you've posted in my thread as well as this. No, it's much easier, you can do a single edit to the text file.

i've check the link but again the instrutions arent clear, it doesnt even show me where to open the setting.txt file

I beat the game on hard core with one sit and its unlock the soldier suit and the handcannon.

but if you quit or something then its not unlock , its 100 year old bug and its still on origin and steam

but like i said if you complete with one sit / no death you unlock the stuff (if you found a place where you can hide and no necromorf you can afk and play later

this is My run (at the end i not show a new game with the items but trust me i got them with this no death no quit run)

Wait, was that always glitched? If so l, who the Hell tested this game? I wish this bug would be fixed so I can get the achievement and the finger foam gun.
