Plasma Cutter against standart necromorphs.
Pulse Rifle against weak enemies or groups of regular.
Detonator Gun against Stalkers, strong enemies or groups.
Javelin Gun-only use when fighting female tripod and trigger Mine's Necromorph's. (which throw explosive , when somebody get close enough). Sometimes, use against slow enemies.
P.S. Currently trying it myself. Stopped in chapter 9.
Not listen game's lies about "very low" resources. Game give you same amount as Zealot. Enemies are weaker then Zealot and dealing less damage. (I suspecte that their stats are shared with Hard difficulty one)
Offtop. How are you still alive? I thought Raiden kills you about 6 years ago. :)
I use Fully Plasma Cutter and Pulse rifle
The rest are open to you
Force gun is a nice choice as it can knock back most enemies and buy you some time
(And vaporize the small swarms, Demon babies and stalkers that get too close)
The third i'd say is whatever you want it to be. Maybe ripper if you want to conserve ammo?
+ Plasma Cutter (jack of all trades, low cost)
+ Pulse Rifle (fast kill on most small enemies & grenade launcher)
+ Javelin gun (best 1-2 hits kill weapon, fast & thrown impalement)
+ Force gun (crowd control to keep enemies away)
+ Contact Beam (for chapter 10-final, or final boss only as the highest damage weapon)
Javelin - 1 hit kill for almost everything once maxed out, 2 hit for the dark necros.
Pulse - Mainly for the mini boss fights as it's easier to use to target weak points during cinematics.
Contact - Mainly carry it to collect and sell ammo, but being able to cheese things with stasis never gets old. It helps that it has the highest damage (primary fire). Don't use it against the final boss if you want a challenge.
Force Gun - If you need an "oh ♥♥♥♥" button vs groups, here's your boy, secondary fire.
Difficulty doesn't matter once you have the Contact Beam and Pulse Rifle maxed out. If you like a challenge then only use the Plasma Cutter, it's fun. It throws ammo at you even on Hardcore mode. I don't think I've ever bought ammo, granted I hoarded a lot on my first save (survivalist).
PLASMA CUTTER - the devs had to make isaac's gf replacement OP... just like a gf it chews through your material(ammo) if you don't look after it -> srsly, try to spend as less ammo and cash as possible through this corona campaign
- good against ranged babies with 3 lewd tentacles that constantly try to penetrate you and you don't want that, cuz you aren't gay (propably)
PULSE RIFLE -it's like to have a demanding second gf: you really have to carefully take your shots while preventing your ammo/money from escaping your wallet. you propably will still deplete it most of the time without a weapon that generates ammo(RIPPER) - forget secondary
- I don't know how the ♥♥♥♥ I thought it was a good idea to choose the rifle early on, but I did, and like every premature marriage it chew through my hard earned money/ammo, my nerves, and my progress.
- it's a good anti-missile weapon, i got to admit (you know, those spawns with the 3 balls testicles swinging around in zero g, shooting probes that will literally ♥♥♥♥ you up)
- trash ammo for trash enemies like the babies of overweight feminists
- BUT if you invest into your sec gf and upgrade damage and capacity, it reduces the final boss battle to a meager 10 seconds "cutscene". Just empty your swollen, pulsing 175 rounds mag into nicole and mark the dark marker with your pulse rifle marker, forget nicoles dark 30+ kids all from different men (no racist).
DETONATOR
- makes big monsters go boom featuring:
- "gorillas"(normal: dump a load in their face, before they dump you and see him die like fkwad after his "impressive" entrance. elite in last chapters: same as the normal but 4 loads onto face)
- this necromorph with god mode cheat enabled, yeah this one will have a hard time get to you if you explode his legs and stasis him afterwards. Bonus feature: if you hit the legs, he will lose his arms and head too. I think its increasing the time for his regeneration, makes sense.
- covering charge turkeys hate this baby.
- nightmares stuck on the wall, who spit out babies with one tentacle? kaboom
- IT's pRettttY gOOd, MAn
FORCE GUN
- hug the monsters, one shot the monsters -> only works at the first 10 chapters or so
- crowd control, you drop the mic, they drop on the floor.
- watch them guts fly
later switched from force gun to RIPPER.
- RIP & TEAR
- RIIIPPPP & TEAAAAAR!!!!!
- it's like the caring big tiddy gf you ever wanted
- gives you ammo, doesn't ask much
- you can chew through 3 necros with one shot, MAKING ammo
- decent damage
- it has a range secondary, but I don't like to use it, cuz I care for ammo
- but you also have to watch out for her, she can only do that much crowd control and is only as good, as her bf. staying cool with stasis maintains your relationship.
- take it, hold it, love it
Bonus tip:
Save spots I made:
chapter 7 after the kindergarten, a bit premature but it worked
chapter 10 because you prpbly don't want to play the 2 window rooms
chapter 13 after drill before elevator
i've ever read.
But it made me chuckle quite a lot. And it has a lot of sense.
Good job lad, you made my day just a bit better
