Dead Space 2 cd key no longer works
EA wont help me as the game was bought on steam, not origin.
They say my cd key has been used to many times, all I id was reformate my pc and reinstall my games on stream...

Do I have any options to fix this or did EA just steal my money?

There is already a thread around, search the forum.

is it in the dead space 2 forum or what?

Do you not read your own threads? HERE. You never even responded if this has helped you out.

Ya, EA told me to piss off cuz I used Steam and not Origin to buy the game. Got anything else I can do?

What about those downloads, did you try them?

EDIT:

What EA told you, as I assume, is that your PC-CD key has already been redeemed and is assigned to another user. This is curious itself. How does it work here in this place?

This could also explain why some people cannot connect to EA servers.

PS.

But I may be wrong, actually, if you can find your PC-CD key for Dead Space2 somewhere through the Steam library, go with it to the www.ea.com and try to redeem it. Beforehand, though, check if the game is not redeemed already for your account.

Yes I tried the downloads

You realise I bought this game in 2011 on steam right... NOW in 2018, I cant play it any more beacuse they say my cd key have been used to many times on the same computer.

And they are trying to attribute it to the origin account I made to play dead space 3... which I cant get into.

So in short sounds like EA stole a bunch of my money. Got any advice, wonder if I can get a refund through steam for a steam bought game...

My statement is that you should be able to redeem the game on Origin with the PC-CD key, if you have it viewable in the Steam library. If you have ever connected to the Dead Space 2 severs in multiplayer, the game ought to be redeemed automatically. Now you need to get to your Origin account and download it, perhaps play it through Origin.

PS.

For the downloads, I thought the patch should remove the 5 installations limit, which used to be the thing, on the PC-DVD version.

I bought it on STEAM, I don't use origin cuz it sucks.
I got to like level 30 on multiplayer in STEAM I ont play games on origin cuz it sucks.

Why is a game I bought on steam being taken away from me for buying it on steam... if you are not going to honor the purchases made on your platform what good are you.

There are some obsolete practices involved, it seems. Apparently Steam version is directly the PC-DVD version. Actually, make sure these patches are installed correctly, they should help. Furthermore, you did not answer whether you verified the game is available now on your Origin account or whether it is redeemable. Do you have the code, on a paper?

My origin account has dead space 3 on it, not 2 (cant get into that account anyways, like I said origin sucks)
chollirem Nov 28, 2018 @ 1:41am
Trying the exe still gives me the activation issue on a game that is already activated
- think I will just crack the exe and take it out of steam : /
triple_agent Nov 28, 2018 @ 1:43am
I sent you also the patched .EXE, applied it as well? I guess though the Steam version already has it, but you can doublecheck anyway. Rename the file so that Steam can recognize it and you may go with Steam. Just do not verify build integrity.

It is legal to NO-CD crack a legally owned software. for private use, at least in some countries.

Why cannot you login to Origin? Tried to download it? You did not tell whether you have the PC-DVD code for the game and whether you tried to redeem it there.

When I lost my gaming email, steam asked me a bunch of questions so I could get back in (I have over 200 games on steam).
When I tried to do the same thing with origin they said, thanks for all the personal info, we are not letting you back in use the email you cant get into to log back into origin...

When I put in the patch it still brings up the (cd key used to much line, they say they see nothing wrong with my cd key outside of me reinstalling it on my pc multiple times over the years, and that I must log into origin to be able to use a STEAM cd key)

See the catch 22 yet?

Every time you make a new post, you are adding a new problem.
