Mod for survival mode co-op

Is there a way to mod Multiplayer to add a survival mode in? The game already has all the assets required for it with objectives too but it would REVIVE the game massively if there was a known way to start this as I can go from there and im interested in starting this project.

Also the multiplayer as fun as it was, felt muted with only color palette swaps of the security suit not usable in campaign....
