Why does my copy of C&C 4 re-install net framework everytime i launch?

anyone have any ideas?

Open file explorer, navigate to the folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight

and rename "redist" to "redist_old", should solve the issue.

Enoth, I have to thank you.
Your solution fixed the .NET Framework re-install, sort of; Steam does still open a window (and asks for admin confirm) but closes it immediately afterward.
Moreover, you somehow fixed some major connectivity issues I'd been having which basically rendered the game unplayable. I don't know how, but thanks a whole lot! :D

~Edit: I'll keep looking if this is really helps as much as I think/hope. Might help others ;)

np.. glad to help. Seen this issue before with other games. The whole installer script seems to have issues with games not created for Steam.
