How do you approach and experience Suda51's works?

I have never played a Suda51 game before besides Twilight Syndrome and Moonlight syndrome.

On December 5th I finally finished Moonlight Syndrome. Did a bunch of notes, put them all up together and it still wasn't making much sense besides just a few events in the story.
I began looking for symbolism and piecing up the events of the game, filling the blanks with statements that I would later highlight as in "not sure", and it was going great until 浮誘 FUYOU. While some previous chapters were slightly confusing, I couldn't understand the point of this one and going onwards, it just became worse. Kinda like when you get tilted at a game and start performing worse? Well, in this case my brain just broke and everything began to go over my head.

I was told that Suda51's works have something called the "post game" where you basically put the pieces together and fully *get* the story. AFAIK other games help build this understanding of events, but the game themselves [on their own], have a solid answer to what it's happening on that game.

After being kinda bummed about it, I set for a 3/5 stars on backloggd and under the impression that it was just the unpolished work of Suda51, that he had a lot of ideas but the execution was very poorly.

I was wrong.

After sleeping, I still felt like there were some ties loose so I began investigating stuff again, rediscovering stuff and ultimately reading Paradise 51's analysis. To my surprise, there were a huge amount of stuff I missed, mostly all related to Zoroastrianism.
It wasn't until I read Paradise 51's analysis that I was able to really get and understand the game and holy ♥♥♥♥ I feel like a complete media illiterate now lol

- play japanese version of the game
- translate the game yourself, because official one is no good
- figure everything out and get dissapointed in the end
