Report a translation problem
The PS2 version is superior to the DS version, but it is only in japanese. So I'd suggest either playing the DS version, or playing the PS2 version with a transcript of the english script unless you know japanese.
There hasn't really been any news on the remake outside of Suda mentioning he'd like to do it, so it could be years down the line especially considering GHM is busy developing the third No More Heroes game right now.
Anyway just so you know, these games also connect back to the Twilight/Moonlight Syndrome games (though not in any way that will make them impossible to understand for you, you'll just miss a few call backs at the beginning and at the end of the trilogy) and to the no more heroes series
Honestly, it doesn't relate to THAT many things in 25W, but the things it does are pretty important; it's hard to talk about without going into details, so I'll just reiterate, yeah play FSR.
