Saving Game Progress

Hi, I've started this game and lost my progress thrice, thankfully I was only in the beginning part. I feel so silly and I've googled before and didn't find the answer. How the heck do you save your game progress? Is it automatic? Is it way way after the beginning of the game? I feel ridiculous and have to go through the intro again.

you can save while you are at the segments where you control your character and right after you clear a chapter.

you have to open the menu and choose "save game" then select a slot
if you have to skip parts you already played try holding the enter key, the text will start skipping really fast

Ah Thanks! So basically you only save during the puzzle or clicking the object sections? Not during the text scenes?
