I find it explaining nothing and also disregarding for the community.
Why they always kept this distancing tone despite being indie devs?
For me, it is one of the causes of the failure in the first place.
So there were no bundle keys or anything like that.
I understand it won't help most of people here, but for a time being the game still available on PS4.
Never played this online, just got it a couple of days back and was doing the campaign.
I wouldn't look forward to playing on the community servers or something with how it's mostly just veterans playing this game.
FYI, all the servers SVEX ever had are community servers.
And one of the goals for SVEX development was to be fully functional without maintaining any infrastructure, so it mostly relies on P2P rooms handled by Valve instead.
It's a shame the game was removed from store anyway for completely different reasons.
The game becoming unobtainable by new players means the community will be only reducing from now on. We will be figuring out how to deal with the new circumstance.
(Even thinking of refunding a good and unobtainable game seems wrong to me.)
This fits the definition of abandonware. And we had a word from developers, essentially confirming this status. Unless another company show up and decide to pick up the IP.
At the same time, the game still seems to be available for purchase on PS4 while it shouldn't. So not a complete unobtanium yet.
This is probably due to difficulties to communicate with Sony.
Kinda ironic how it can't even be shutdown properly.
Community still exists. I have some sort of plan where to move from current situation, but due to limited resources it might take a long time before we will be able to announce anything.
