Simply do a shorcut of your RomeTW-BI.exe (located in the SteamApps folder) and change the target. You must add « --features.mod=bi » at the end of the target. On my PC the command line is : "E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rome Total War Gold\RomeTW-BI.exe" --features.mod=bi

*NOTE* Same thing must be done to launch the MTW 2 Kingdom scenarios. Locate the .exe and create a shortcut on the desktop. Then add the same command line at the end. On my PC :
"E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War\medieval2.exe" --features.mod=mods/teutonic
**To play Britannia, Crusade or Americas, replace the teutonic by the scenario you want and that's it !

That will work for playing Barbarian Invasion, but playing from shortcuts no matter how you attempt to launch them restricts the game features and can and will cause crashes if you attempt to play online as you will be using different features than what is meant to be enabled.
