create_unit (someone) of (place) (greek armoured hoplites) 5 9 9 9?

I really want to get this cheat to work.I finally beat the regular campaign after who knows how long.Ive looked EVERYWHERE for the unit name.I did a place to ptui them like... Sparta,but the unit names are my probloms:(,Can someone post me all the unit id names? "roman town watch" doesnt help me really..

I will tell you how to find all unit names for yourself. First off, go to where Rome is installed.
If you have no idea how to get there because you don't know where Steam games are installed, do this. Go to Program Files(x86), then to Steam, then SteamApps, then Common, then Rome: Total War Gold, then the data folder.

Those are all folders on your hard drive, except for maybe Program Files(x86), which may have a different number in the parantheses for you. The path should look something like this.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rome Total War Gold\data

Now, look for a txt file called export_desc_unit

Inside is every single unit in the entire game, including their stats and names.
Hit Cntrl+F and search for greek, which is the faction your unit is in. Scroll down and look for the unit you want. You can see what their names are in-game to the right, after the ; symbol.

If you did all this, you will see that Armoured hoplites are actually called greek_hoplite_elite

Make sure you format your cheat correctly! That can be a bit of a pain! Have fun!

Ages ago since i played RTW and did a unit-cheat but i don't think you're supposed to include "Sparta" in the cheat and if you are, try it like this instead " create_unit Sparta_ greek_hoplite_elite 5 9 9 9". :)

Er,It doesnt work,It says only the name of the unit is wrong,when i tried yours it said settlement or character not found,has to be something im doing wrong with the unit name :/

!!!I J UST GOT IT WTO WORK! I did : create_unit Sparta "greek hoplite elite" 5 9 9 9,Now all it says it has full garrison so i couldnt add it,but it worked!
