Your light cavalry can run down their horse archers, your horse archers will not die due to skirmishing, and your warlord can beat horde spearmen.
Just hope to god by the time most of their army has been weakened due to your horse archers, their warlord has less troops than yours.
Charge him with yours, and flank him with some light cavalry, once their general dies, the army is done.
Then you just have to get 4 more heroic victories and then the horde is defeated.
Yeah, it kinda is absolute BS...
Most of a HORDE army are armed civilians. Get rid of their horse archers and you break their backs.
Playing as the Sarmatians, I tried to defend against the Hunnish hordes, but failed, and went off as a horde, myself. After a few turns, I conquered a new region as my homeland, and then I started again, and was successful after that. :D
Difficult to do when there's only about 5-10 turns before it happens.
first get horses
then fight them with horses
then dont let all your guys die
then attack head on with heavy calvery
then kill them
there now you know every thing
