The command is:-
add_money 40000
I know that, I've done it several times, though the maximum it can give is 20000. I want to know how to use multiple cheats without restarting the game, like I used to.
If the answer to both questions is yes then there is no reason I know of why your installation of Rome Total War is not working properly.
No it is not the steam version, I already have the game, so I see no reason to buy it again.
I don't care about that, I just get the money to increase buildings and armies to make campaign battles more interesting for me.
If I remember correctly, you should be able to add your disk version to Steam without buying the game again. Whether or not that would bring its own problems I cannot tell.
It's not the gold edition, the version number is 1.0.0.0. As far as I know, it cannot be added to steam.
Both versions report the same because Steam did not update the display in its final patch. If you have an Intel CPU, stay with the disks as Intel and the last steam patch has issues.
Do as HazardHawk says, you should get an updated Rome: Total War 1.5 or 1.51 (either will work), and you're cheats should function perfectly.
