Rome: Total War

Rome: Total War

No purchase button anymore
Added this and 2 other games to my cart 2-3 days ago. Today I decided to buy them so I clicked purchase and it sent me back to the store page. No biggie, just click the 3 games again. Only this time when I got to Rome: Total War Collection, there was no option to buy the game. I can't find any helpful info online. Any ideas?

Oh, ♥♥♥♥, you're right, they lifted the option to buy the game!

Any idea as to why that would happen for just this game? I'm in Canada.

You are correct, it has been completely removed now and is no longer sold. Now the only way to get is find a disk with a usable cd key or buy from another store for the cd key

I am in Mexico and it's not abvailable for me, however I asked around to some people in the US and they said they can buy it still.

It is hardly playable on modern computers, so selling it is close to scamming.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it works fine on newer system. You may want to upgrade the executable's ability to use memory (especially with larger modifications) but that's easy. CA could've done that themselves years ago, but chose not to.

It's not profitable for them to have old games around with such insane replayability as Rome 1, it hampers the sale of their newer games (which have maps that can't be modded as well, preventing large overhual mods and thus severely lowers replayability, funneling people into their future games).

Not having kept up with the modding community, it could be someone made a mod violating someone's copyright again and CA was sued again like Warhammer and Lord of the Rings caused.

There's a slim chance they have a suprise remake version for us too...? Anyway, I'm more prone to be sceptical about their intentions here.

You forgot to mention all the DLC's with base game elements you have to buy to get the full effects.

If this is good I'll eat my own scepticism.
